In a historic event marking Women’s Day in Iran, the “Iran-Banu” flight, staffed entirely by women and carrying 110 accomplished Iranian women, successfully landed in Mashhad.
The flight was piloted by Shahrzad Shams, Iran’s first female pilot, making it the first-ever all-female flight to land at Shahid Hashemi Nejad Airport.Hassan Jafari, the Public Relations Manager for Khorasan Razavi Airports, highlighted the significance of the event, noting that the plane landed at 10:15 a.m. on Women’s Day, symbolizing a step forward in recognizing the achievements and potential of Iranian women in aviation and beyond.This landmark moment underscores the growing presence and leadership of women in traditionally male-dominated fields in Iran.
