Iran has executed two spies who worked for the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Israeli spy agency, the Mossad on Sunday.
According to a statement issued by Iran’s Intelligence Ministry, the two men, were head of two spy networks related to CIA and Mossad. All other agents working with the two networks also identified and arrested.
“The two executed spies have misused their access to some of important classified information,” read the statement of the Intelligence Ministry.
According to a source talked to IransView on condition of anonymity, the two spies leaked information on Iran’s nuclear and missile programs in last ten years.
The Mossad agent, identified as Mohammad Heidari, had been found guilty of collecting Iranian classified information and providing the intelligence to the Israeli spy agency in the course of several meetings outside the Islamic Republic.
Heidari had received sums of money from the Mossad in return for the acts of espionage.
The other spy, Kourosh Ahmadi, was convicted of contacting CIA agents and providing them with intelligence on Iran.
