In a remarkable coincidence, a documentary aired on Iranian state TV back in 2013 appears to have foreshadowed recent events unfolding between Iran and Israel. The documentary, which delved into Iran’s missile capabilities and its readiness to defend against external threats, included a chilling simulation of Iran’s response to a potential airstrike by Israel on its nuclear facilities.

Fast forward to April 13, 2024, Iran exercised its inherent right of self-defense, as outlined in Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, in response to repeated military aggressions by Israel. The operation saw the launch of dozens of missiles targeting military sites within Israel.

This recent defensive operation bears a striking resemblance to the simulation depicted in the Iranian documentary. In the simulation, Iran utilized its Sijjil long-range missile to strike critical targets in Tel Aviv, mirroring the actions taken in the real-world defensive operation.

The documentary’s release in 2013 came amidst escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, with the latter repeatedly issuing threats of military action against Iran’s nuclear program. Israeli military leaders even conducted war games simulating strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities in 2012.

The simulation depicted in the video from 10 years ago conveyed a clear message: Iran would only respond if Israel initiated an attack on Iranian soil. This stance was reiterated through the scenario presented, indicating that Iran would retaliate in the event of an Israeli strike on its territory. With the recent attack on the Iranian embassy in Syria by Israel, the prediction made in the simulation was fulfilled, aligning precisely with the conditions outlined in the video.

The operation, meticulously orchestrated in accordance with the right to self-defense enshrined in Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, was prompted by a series of aggressive actions by Israel over the past seven months. These provocations included over ten incidents, culminating in the tragic loss of 19 Iranian military advisors in Syria and an egregious attack on Iran’s diplomatic facilities in Damascus on April 1, 2024.

Drawing upon intelligence from Iranian military sources, the operation was meticulously planned and executed, specifically targeting Israeli military installations and a Mossad facility. Characterized by strategic precision and tactical sophistication, this operation stands as a resolute rebuttal to recurrent Israeli hostilities.

Contrary to initial reports, clarification from Iranian military sources dispels misconceptions regarding the scale of the operation, confirming the deployment of nearly 60 ballistic missiles. Significantly, at least 10 missiles successfully penetrated Israeli air defense systems, striking their intended objectives.

In a recent development, exclusive information sourced from Iranian military authorities provides detailed insight into a defensive military operation carried out by Iran’s armed forces. This operation, meticulously orchestrated per the right to self-defense enshrined in Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, was prompted by a series of provocations from the Israeli regime, comprising over ten incidents within the past seven months. Furthermore, it was a direct response to the tragic loss of 19 Iranian military advisors in Syria and the egregious attack on Iran’s diplomatic facilities in Damascus on April 1, 2024.

Moments before launch, an Iranian missile bears a handwritten message: ‘We will make you rue the day!’ A stark reminder of unwavering resolve in the face of adversity.

Despite Iran’s appeals for action to the UN Security Council, the international body remained inert, hampered by obstructions from certain member states, notably the US, UK, and France. Subsequently, following ten days of inaction, Iran invoked its inherent right to self-defense.

Operational insights reveal a concerted employment of Iran’s intelligence, missile, and drone capabilities to neutralize critical Israeli military targets in occupied territories. This offensive, emblematic of a significant escalation, encountered formidable challenges posed by Israel’s extensive air and missile defense systems.

Clarification from Iranian military sources dispels initial misconceptions regarding the scale of the operation, confirming the deployment of nearly 60 ballistic missiles, contrary to earlier reports suggesting a higher number. Notably, at least 10 missiles successfully penetrated Israeli air defense systems, striking their intended objectives.

The defense network of the Israeli regime, reinforced by Western support, presented a complex obstacle spanning across Iraqi airspace and parts of occupied Syria and Palestine. A diverse array of advanced aircraft, including F-15s, F-16s, F-35s, Gulfstream planes, and refuelers, were integrated into a sophisticated air defense system, incorporating the Arrow system.

Overcoming this intricate defense architecture necessitated tactical ingenuity and resilience against combined electronic warfare capabilities wielded by Western powers and the Israeli regime.

While comprehensive details on the operation’s outcomes are pending, preliminary reports indicate that it surpassed expectations. Nevertheless, its scope was deliberately delimited to targeting assets directly implicated in the assault on Iran’s diplomatic premises and the loss of military advisors.

This revelation of the defensive operation underscores Iran’s unwavering commitment to defending its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national interests against external aggression. As further information emerges, Iran remains prepared to share additional insights regarding its defensive measures.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said in an interview with Lebanese Al-Manar TV that the country already received the first shipment of S-300 missiles from Russia and will receive the second shipment soon.

Al-Akhbar newspaper’s website published some important remarks of the President Assad’s recorded interview which is to broadcast from Al-Manar TV on Thursday night.

“We will participate in Geneva-II conference but we are not optimistic to its result,” Assad said. Geneva talk is due to be held possibly in June.

Assad confirmed military presence of Lebanon’s Hezbollah group in Syria and said: “Hezbollah’s forces are in border regions of Syria with Lebanon and they are fighting against Terrorist groups but we are handling the war.”

“Almost 100,000 armed terrorists entered Syria with support of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey,” he said.

Syrian President warned to “respond immediately” to any future attack by Israel.

Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem also said on Wednesday that Syria will immediately respond to “any possible future attacks by the Zionist regime.”

In an interview with Lebanese al-Mayadeen TV, Al-Moallem said that any response from Damascus will be given without a warning.

“Syria will not let any Israeli aggression go unanswered without retaliation. The retaliation will be the same size as the aggression, and the same type of weapons will be used,” he said.

Moallem added that Syria would take part in the upcoming talks in Geneva without any precondition, adding that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad would remain president until the next presidential election scheduled to be held in 2014.

“From now until the next elections, President Bashar al-Assad is the president of the Syrian Arab Republic,” he said.

The Syrian foreign minister noted that any deal reached in the Geneva talks would be put to a referendum inside Syria. “If it wins the support of the Syrian people, we will go ahead with it,” Moallem said.

Following the recent Israeli air strikes on Damascus, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei sent a message of “full and unlimited support” to Syrian president Bashar al-Assad, the Lebanese newspaper Al- Akhbar reported on May 8th.

The message was handed over by Iran’s Foreign Minister, Ali Akbar Salehi to Assad during Salehi’s short visit from Damascus on Tuesday.

In the message, Al-Akhbar reported, Ayatollah Khamenei assured Assad of Iran’s full political, Military and economic support for the Syrian leadership and for people to confront the “Takfiris, terrorists, Israel, the U.S. and all who may dare to attack the country.”

On Friday and Sunday, Israeli warplanes carried out two airstrikes on Syria. Afterwards, the Syrian government called the attacks a “flagrant violation of international law.”

“It’s time to stop the Zionist regime’s aggressions against the people of the region,” Salehi said during his meeting with President Assad according to a report by Lebanese Al-Manar TV.

“We’re on your side and will not let Syria fall into the hands of Israel or the U.S. or the Takfiris,” he added.

Takfiri’s are religious fanatics who use violence to compel people to their way of thinking.

Prior to his visit to Syria, Iran’s foreign minister arrived in the Jordanian capital of Amman on Monday and had separate meetings with Jordan’s King Abdullah II and Prime Minister Abdullah Nsour on Tuesday.

According to Al-Akhbar newspaper, Salehi imparted “a clear and unequivocal message of Iran’s strong commitment to protect Assad and Syria,” to the Jordanian King Abdullah.

“You must be aware that if the US decides to go to war with Syria, your kingdom will go in the process,” this message, Jordanian sources described as a direct message from Iran’s Supreme Leader. It warned the Jordanian king of the “American trap that threatens your throne and will wipe Jordan off the map.”

“The Islamic Republic is ready to provide you what you need in the face of pressures and to avoid the conflict moving into Jordan,” Salehi said to King Abdullah and underlined “Iran’s willingness to transfer Jordan into its camp.”

According to the sources of Al-Akhbar who are close to the Jordanian royal court, “King Abdullah was friendly and listened to the Iranian message. He assured Salehi that Jordan will not be interfering in Syria.”

Syria has been experiencing a deadly unrest since March 2011. Many people, including large numbers of security personnel, have been killed by foreign-backed militants, which Damascus says are trained and supported by the Western powers and their allies in the region.

Several international human rights organizations have accused foreign-sponsored militants of committing war crimes.

Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi reaffirmed Tehran’s support from Syria in a meeting with the Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad on Tuesday.

“It’s time to stop Zionist regime aggressions against the people of the region,” Salehi said Assad on recent Israeli air strike on Syria.

“We’re on your side and will not let Syria fall into the hands of Israel or U.S. or Takfiris,” he added.

After the meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister, Bashar Assad was quoted by Lebanese Al-Manar TV as saying the country is able to confront Israeli aggression.

“The recent Israeli aggression expose the size of the complicity between the Israeli occupation, regional countries, and the West in backing the current events in Syria,” Assad said in his first remarks since Israeli warplanes conducter airstrikes on Syria over the weekend.

“The Syrian people and their heroic army… are capable of confronting this Israeli adventure, which represents one of the faces of terrorism that is targeting Syria every day,” he added.

Ali Akbar Salehi, heading a high-ranking delegation, arrived in the Jordanian capital of Amman on Monday in the first leg of his Middle East tour.

In Amman, Salehi had separate meetings with Jordan’s King Abdullah II and Prime Minister Abdullah Nsour on Tuesday.

In Amman, Salehi stressed Iran’s opposition to any foreign intervention in Syria and called for a negotiated solution to the crisis in the Arab state.

“We reject any foreign intervention in Syria and we don’t want Syria to plunge into crisis…,” Salehi said in a joint press conference with his Jordanian counterpart, Nasser Judeh, in Amman on Tuesday.

“The Syria crisis and its consequences for the region are very heavy, and must be peacefully settled within the framework of a Syrian-Syrian solution. [If] any political vacuum occurs in this country, its consequences would affect all [regional] countries,” he said.

On Friday and Sunday, Israeli warplanes carried out two airstrikes on Syria. Afterwards, the Syrian government called the attacks a “flagrant violation of international law.”

The Syrian Foreign Ministry has sent letters to the UN Security Council stating that Israel’s aggression shows the links between Tel Aviv and terrorist groups operating in Syria, including the al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front.

Syrian Information Minister Omran al-Zoabi told reporters in Damascus on Sunday that Syria had the right and the duty to defend its people by all available means and it would not give in to Israeli acts of aggression.
